The Band from the Cafe
The Cafe Jazz Band played regularly for ten years at the Harris & Hoole Cafe in the centre of Twickenham.
This is where we got our name.
Currently we play regularly on Friday mornings at The Rose Theatre in Kingston upon Thames. 10.30am -12.30pm. Check site for specific dates or contact us to go on the mailing list.
The band plays a huge selection of tunes from the Great American Songbook.
The band is fronted by saxman and flautist Jonathan Whines. Juliet Morton is on keys. Roger Harding, bass and Halle Nukuna our resident rhythm king on percussion!

In addition we regularly work with singers so can provide a male or female singer.
We play an enormous variety of music from swing to latin, ballads to bossas, pop ballads and funk.

What follows is a list of tunes which demonstrate the type of music in our repertoire. However, if there is something you particularly want we will probably be able to play it or we will happily learn it as long as its not Rachmaninov at full tilt!!
