The Band from the Cafe
The Cafe Jazz Band have been playing live jazz for the last ten years at the Harris & Hoole Cafe in the centre of Twickenham. Every Friday morning fortnightly from 10.30am to 12.30pm, the band plays tunes from the Great American Songbook. From this base with a loyal band of followers the band have picked up numerous gigs. Playing at parties, barbecues and weddings from West London, down the Thames, and into Surrey.
The band is fronted by saxman and flautist Jonathan Whines. Juliet Morton is on keys. Roger Harding, bass and Halle Nukuna our resident rhythm king on percussion!

In addition we regularly work with singers so can provide a male or female singer.
We play an enormous variety of music from swing to latin, ballads to bossas, pop ballads and funk.

What follows is a list of tunes which demonstrate the type of music in our repertoire. However, if there is something you particularly want we will probably be able to play it or we will happily learn it as long as its not Rachmaninov at full tilt!!
